Greetings, my name is Lee Ardies Godley III and I am a freshman Computer Science major with a concentration in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing at Elizabeth City State University (ECSU). During my undergraduate experience I seek to advance my knowledge in these concentrations through rigorous research, intense internships, and other available opportunities that parallel with my vision. Modern society has transcended from its primordial forms of limited communication and now operates on an international wavelength. Computer Science will indeed endow me with the capacity to evoke new discoveries and contribute my acquired intellect into this global environment.

Presently, I am being afforded the opportunity to achieve my objectives through the Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER) program here at ECSU. As an undergraduate research scholar of this prestigious program directed by Dr. Linda Hayden, I am conducting superior research through advanced training curriculums consequently preparing me to obtain internships, fellowships, and excel in graduate school.

During the course of my undergraduate years it is my sincere intention to embark upon every endeavor that will positively influence my educational experience. In graduate studies I plan to specialize in Mathematics and Computer Science because a profound mathematical background is often the anchor for securing a career in today’s technological economy. I will become most qualified for any profession with this academic combination, achieving both my Masters’ and Ph.D. in these two disciplines.
